Single room (no more 20min ride from city centre)

Hey all, unfortunately, I need to leave my current accommodation close to Magdalene Road, as our landlords are selling the house. I have been living in Oxford for slightly more than a year now to do research at the University of Oxford (how original!).

I work the usual 9-5, but tend to have extended hours on some occasions. I rarely work from home, if not for "force majeure".

Outside of work, I am very passionate about conservation and love volunteering with organisations working in the field. I like hiking as well, but not so much in the (heavy) rain (....I know...." there is no bad weather, but bad equipment"). I am still to find my "sports", but have been swimming for a while now and would like to continue doing so.

On a more serious note, I have lived in shared apartments before, so I know how to behave and "house dynamics" / basic rules for smooth co-living. I like having my own privacy / space when needed, but also having a chat / interact with my flatmates and not locking myself in my room. If the house has a garden or pets, you might find me in their company, probably during most of my spare time.

But this description would not be complete if I did not mention the more "negative" aspects and my addictions. I have a blatant addiction to (cold) coffee. So, what might appear a bit weird to most is me preparing coffee for the following day and storing it. I also have somehow a predilection for cycling over using public transport, walking or any other motorised alternatives. So, a place with bike storage or at least in an area where I can leave my bike locked for the night without being paranoid would be somehow "essential".
