Looking for a "Home Away From Home" 🪴🏡

I’m a software engineer and have been living in the UK for 8 years. Over time, London has truly become my home, but I’ve been quite unlucky with rental places in the past - they never quite felt like home. Because of that, I’m now specifically on the lookout for a warm, homely atmosphere shared with good people who are also working hard to build their lives in this city.

I’m currently on the hunt for a quiet, peaceful room to call my own, starting around the end of June. I’m a busy, non-smoking professional who truly values a relaxed, drama-free environment. I’d love to share a space with other young professionals who understand that modern work life can be a bit of a whirlwind and appreciate a house that acts as a genuine recharge station.

The Vibe
The "Small Stuff": I don't sweat it. I’m a forgiving, easygoing person who prefers irony and a good laugh over house politics.

Cleanliness: I’m very relaxed about the general lived-in feel of a home, but I do value a high standard of cleanliness in the key shared areas (specifically the bathroom and the fridge).

Space & Autonomy: I’m a big believer in giving people their own space—I find mutual respect and autonomy are the secret sauce to a happy house share.

Personality & Interests
I’d describe myself as a deep thinker with a self-reflective streak. You’ll often find me diving into a book or writing, but I also have a fun, active side. My interests are a bit of a mix:

Yoga & Mindfulness: Yoga and meditation are huge parts of my life. In fact, one of my big goals right now is to get certified as a yoga teacher!

Languages: I love self-improvement. I’m currently focused on perfecting my English with the goal of getting certified, and I’m also picking up Spanish in my spare time.

The Outdoors & Creative Outlets: I love philosophy, long walks in nature, dancing salsa, and spending time with animals.
