Young professionals looking for a place

Hello! We are Valeria and Martin, a couple of young professionals from Chile. We’ve been living in Brixton in a beautiful three-storey house with our landlord and an Aussie couple during our master’s studies, and now, after a over year, we sadly have to leave as it’s been sold. We’re looking for a new place where we can settle long-term —preferably a place on the ground floor or with a garden. After completing our master’s degrees in Medical Anthropology (Valeria) and Documentary Filmmaking (Martin) at UCL, we are currently working in London as graduates.

We love living in London and are so excited to stay for another 1–2 years. Coincidentally, we both lived here as children, so it feels like reconnecting with a place that holds a special meaning for us. We are constantly discovering new places, so we would love to live with locals and hear all their suggestions about the city, as well as share our own. And, as people who have chosen professions that involve delving into people's experiences and memories, we would love to hear their stories… in a non-intrusive way.

It is very important for us to make the place we live in feel like home. We are tidy, enjoy cooking, and would be very happy to help maintain a garden. We’ll be working full-time, so we won’t be the partying type… If we’re up late, it’s highly likely that we’re working or watching a film. That said, we do enjoy going out or staying in for a relaxed evening, having a chat over some wine or something stronger from time to time (and, as is customary back home, we love a BBQ — the few days London’s weather allows it).

Our interests include film, art, humanities, flamenco dance, tennis, and nature-related activities, so hopefully we won’t be terribly boring!
