My name is Sian and I am moving to Manchester...

My name is Sian and I am moving to Manchester in late August/September for a new job.
I am from near Birmingham, have lived in London for almost nine years (with breaks in the middle living in Glasgow and Prague), and I am very excited to relocate further north and be back in a walkable city.

I am clean and tidy, want a house to be a welcoming, social space, but I am also laid back and respectful of different people's needs and schedules.

I have lived communally for a long time and love it, and like to make a house a home.

About me....

I am a young 30 and I like to keep myself busy. I want to go on hikes and to gigs and visit the cinema, galleries and museums when I live in Manchester if that is your thing.

I am a journalist so I work roughly 9-5 but hours can differ. Work is demanding, I will be out and about on jobs often, occassionally working from home. I will have access to a office too. I’ll be arriving with houseplants, books, and trinkets for my bedroom / the shared space (if we want!) :).

This means I am looking forward to a slower pace of life in Manchester, but I still love to go for a dance and to the pub.

I also have a bicycle, and I am hoping to get a car at some point.

I'm happiest when my time is split between chilling at home with some veggie food and a book, a documentary (or total shit TV), hunting through flea markets, cycling or walking in nature, heading out for a pub quiz and then on to dancing (at anything from folk or metal gigs to raves and queer techno parties).

I often go bouldering (stereotypical bisexual), I am teaching myself to develop 35 mm film and sew. I can also grow veggies / bring vibes to the garden.
