Quiet PhD student looking for a spacious long-term

Hi, I’m Ruilei, a PhD student at the University of Glasgow. I’m currently looking for a spacious room in Glasgow, ideally close to the University of Glasgow main campus.

I’m hoping to find somewhere long-term, preferably for at least 12 months if the place feels right. My move-in date is quite flexible — late July, August, or September would all work for me.

A little bit about me: I’m quiet, tidy, respectful, and easy to live with. Most of my time is spent on my PhD work, so I’d really like to find a calm and comfortable place where I can study and relax. I’m not really a party person, but I do enjoy cooking, drawing, travelling, and going to galleries, or parks when I have time.

I’m quite clean and considerate with shared spaces, and I always try to be mindful of the people I live with. Ideally, I’m looking for a large, bright room in a clean and well-kept flat or house. A desk or good workspace would be a big plus, as I do a lot of reading and writing at home.

I also have two small pet rats, kept in a secure cage. They are quiet, clean, and well looked after. I completely understand that not every place allows pets, so I’m very happy to discuss this properly with the landlord or flatmates.
