Looking for decent peeps to share with

I'm looking for a decent-sized room at a decent price with some decent people, ideally, in a decent part of Edinburgh or the surrounding area. If I've not been very specific, it's because I'm fairly new to the area and not that fussy.

I've lived in Edinburgh for just over two years, in Old Town. I've enjoyed being near the centre, so being near there would be great, but again, I'm fairly flexible about location.

I'm a professional, self-employed tutor, earning about £25-30,000 a year. I mostly work online, so it would be great if there's good WiFi, so I can do those lessons from my room, but if necessary I can do lessons from libraries or cafés. (It would be useful, but not essential, for me to be able to do face-to-face lessons with real live students at the house, but again these can be done from libraries or cafés.)

I'm aged 50, but young at heart, and new to Edinburgh.

I'm single, but with joint custody of my eleven-year-old son who mostly lives in Clermiston in Edinburgh, with his mum. Obviously, the most important thing for me isis that my son can feel at home in the place I live.

I have two very nice references from previous landlords.
