Looking for Sublet as Dog Sitter for Reduced Rent

Hi there!

My name is Shannon. I am relocating to Canada some time this year, and am looking to save money before moving.

I am currently in a sublet arrangement where I am looking after the owner’s dog whilst they are away with work. I pay a largely reduced rent in exchange for looking after their dog whilst they’re away - a mutually beneficial arrangement for both of us! As they don’t need to pay extra for their dog’s boarding, AND they still receive a portion of rent. And for me this set up allows me to save money!

I am hoping to find a similar type of arrangement from July, so if you are in need of some help with your pets whilst you’re away, I’d love to help!

I do have my own dog too - she is a shy, medium-sized rescue, and 7 years old. She is super well behaved! I spent some time prior to moving into my current arrangement getting our dogs acquainted and at ease with each other before moving in, and now they both love having each other’s company!

I typically walk my dog for 1.5 - 2hrs each morning, and a further 40 minute walk in the evening. My dog loves the exercise, and I love being out in nature so I do give the dogs I look after a lot of time outdoors and enrichment activities.

I also send photos, videos and updates of the dog to the owner - much like a typical dog sitting arrangement. And I’ve previous professional experience as a dog sitter and dog walker, so they’re in good hands!

I’d like to pay no more than £500 a month under this type of arrangement. Very open to live in any London areas, though South West is my fave!
