Music lover for calm, social home with living room

Hi, I’m Murray (30), looking for a double room in East London or South London — ideally Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Southwark, or nearby areas. Budget is flexible (£750–1500) for the right home, and I’m not in a rush to move.

What I’m really looking for is a grown-up, homely houseshare with a living room and a social atmosphere where people actually enjoy the space they live in. I’d love somewhere I can share music socially from time to time — ideally with space for my vinyl decks in a communal area — but I’m also very conscious of balance, noise, and respecting people’s downtime.

I’m a DJ and music lover (mainly techno/electro), but home for me is calm and restorative. I only really play music when others are out, or when it’s something shared and welcome socially. Definitely not looking for a party house.

People tend to describe me as emotionally intelligent, considerate, and easy to live with. I’m very clean and tidy, take good care of shared spaces, and genuinely value having a peaceful, comfortable home environment. I like a balance where housemates are friendly and sociable sometimes, but everyone also respects personal space and quiet time.

I have ME/CFS, so having a stable and calm home matters a lot to me. I’m very mindful of energy and atmosphere in the house, and I appreciate living with mature, communicative people who are thoughtful about shared living.

LGBTQ+ friendly housemates are important to me, and I’m open to living with all sorts of people as long as everyone is respectful, emotionally aware, and keeps the place nice.
