Easy going guy seeks awesome housemates :)

Hi there!

I'm 39, quiet but friendly and sociable. I have lived in shared houses since my early twenties and have always got on well with my housemates. I am respectful of other peoples' space and needs, and generally very laid back. Enjoy the odd drink and conversation with housemates but also understand that they don't always have to be in the mood for it, and happy to give them space when that's what they want.

I have an eclectic mix of interests. I love hiking and generally getting out into nature, music (I play drums in a couple of bands, but no, I will not bring a drum kit into the house), hockey, maths, philosophy, cool science, meeting new people, and general silliness. If you enjoy putting the world to rights while popping bubble wrap inside a blanket fort, count me in :) For what it's worth, I am also polyamorous.

Work-wise, I am an actuary but in the process of transitioning my career. Currently I split my time between actuarial work (to pay the bills) and research into democracy, wellbeing economics, and global wealth inequality. I generally work remotely but never from home - I'll find a local shared office/library/coffee shop instead. I also own a house that I rent out, so I appreciate what a good tenant looks like from a landlord's perspective :)
