One-bed flat or Ensuite Room needed

Hi everyone,

I’m a 33-year-old British male looking for a quiet, very clean ensuite room on an initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of extending if everything works well.

I’ll be having surgery in October, so having a peaceful and comfortable home is particularly important to me during this period.

My non-negotiables:

* Ensuite bedroom
* Very clean property and housemates
* Quiet household — no parties or regular/everyday gatherings or guests

A little about me: I’m respectful of personal space and privacy, but I also enjoy socialising with the right people. I’m very considerate, tidy and generally quiet. Before my accident, I worked at a university and was involved in research. I speak three languages and enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and cultures.

Dates:
I’m looking for somewhere from 20 August or 20 September until around 20 March/April. I’d potentially be happy to extend beyond that if everything works well. As this will be my first experience of shared living, I’d simply like to start with a fixed period and see how things go for everyone.

During my recovery, I’ll mostly be resting at home, reading, writing, watching films and working on applications for new PhD opportunities, with the aim of joining a new research project next year.

I’m completely open regarding the gender or sexual orientation of housemates. I’d ideally prefer professionals or mature, quiet housemates who appreciate a clean and peaceful home.

If you’re looking for a clean, considerate and easy-going housemate who can either be a reliable friend or simply keep to himself and respect your space — depending on what you prefer — I’d be very happy to hear from you.
