Artist & cat after buddy up for creative home

Hi, I’m Luke, an artist/illustrator looking to team up with one other person to find a 2 - 3 bed house with a garden & bath around south/central Bristol.

I work from home creating art and I’m also slowly relearning tattooing via an online tattoo masterclass so ideally we’d find somewhere with a spare room or second reception room that could work as a studio space. Open to working from my bedroom as well, if it’s big enough or until I could find a near by studio space.

I’m a friendly introvert with an extroverted streak . I enjoy my own space but totally up for film nights, a series binge, gaming, board games, exhibitions, walks in nature and socialising in general. My interests include all the above, as well as science, the esoteric, meditation, self development, health, comics, graffiti n street art, anything arts and craft related, science, tech, sci-fi & fantasy, conspiracy theories, bike rides, animals. I have an eclectic music taste. Very much into hip hop but also love jazz, soul, dub, funk, classical, world music, jungle, folk, psychedelic rock, punk. Would ideally like to live with someone who has similar interests and I could become friends with but not essential.

I’m into a clean and respectful shared space. That’s creative, calm, comfortable, cosy, a place to recharge and a safe home rather than a party house. As well independent and respectful of boundaries but sociable and easy going. Also down for monthly checkins to see what is and isn’t working in the house so we can work it out.

I don’t drink but don’t mind someone who drinks socially (just not heavily).

I also come with a very sweet, affectionate, 12 year old, outdoor cat, so a garden or courtyard is essential for him. He’s been spade, chipped and he’s litter trained and given defleaing drops monthly.

Areas: Bedminster, Southville, Ashton gate, Windmill hill, Totterdown, Hotwells, Bedminster down, Knowl, bottom of Brislington.
Open to the right place elsewhere in Bristol, and also outside or a bit further a field. Such as Glastonbury, Stroud or Bath.

Budget for rent: ideally £750 or less but can go up to £900 for the right place.
I do currently get a bit of help with housing benefit but am able to supply a guarantor and reference from my current landlord.

Ideally looking for someone independent, considerate and open-minded. A fellow creative or geek would be awesome so we can build a creative home but not essential.

Also open to moving into an existing home if it’s just one other person and fits the same or similar vibe.

Move time roughly 3–4 weeks depending on the place. May be able to do it in 2.
