👀 LGBTQ/vegan home with nice people (or a studio)
Heya folks, I'm moving to London to start a new job and thought I'd post here and see if anyone can help me find a new place to live. It'd be handy to be within 20 minutes of Shoreditch so I can work from the office, but I'm open to anything as long as the commute's not too crazy.
I was 'earning-to-give' as a software engineer for a long time, but I recently gave it up (and the salary) to take over as CTO of an AI Safety charity, hence the move.
The job's split between London and San Francisco, so I might be away for the odd month here and there. I sometimes pick up work as a composer as well, but that's mostly just a hobby.
I ran a residential charity incubator for a couple of years, so I'm used to co-living with lots of different kinds of people. I'm a pretty low-key housemate. Happy to keep to myself and my arty/active/nerdy interests. Still, I'm also a bit of an ambivert—just depends on what works best with given company. A shamless people pleaser by nature, I tend to look after the people I live with very well (e. g. love cooking for others).
Gay as a rainbow, neurospicy, and mostly vegan.
Note: ignoring all AI generated messages, inquiries from agents, and live-out landlords. I'm willing to lose out on a lot of options to find good people and place where I'd be comfortable living long-term.
