Looking for a new home,

Hello, I'm Ben a 43 year old, who is relaxed, considerate, sociable and enjoys a good laugh. I’ve lived in Bristol for about 7 years; except the last 2 years I’ve been working away in Jersey a lot of the time where I’ve been building solar farms. I moved back to Bristol full time in April and currently living in a house temporarily which is shortly to be sold, so looking for a new home. I still own a house with my ex in Bristol (we still get along well and work together), and at some point, she will buy me out of the house, and I may then buy somewhere, but equally could rent longer term if I find the right place. I don’t think I will buy for at least a year or two.

I co-founded a renewable energy company 15 years ago and still work there. I sometimes work quite hard but have a good work life balance too. I enjoy keeping fit, cooking lovely food (I mostly avoid processed food and love batch cooking healthy food- mostly veggie, but I do eat meat sometimes, but equally would be happy not to cook meat if a fully veggie house). I enjoy seeing friends and being sociable. I like an occasional party, but far from a party animal nowadays. I love nature and sustainability and getting outdoors. I tend to wake up quite early and go swimming (In Jersey I swam in the sea every morning at 7am, which I loved and miss a lot! I carried on the habit since being back, just not in the sea). I am not a big drinker, but like a social drink once in a while.

I am looking for other nice, considerate and fun people to live with. I like the idea of a social house with shared cooking. Definitely looking for more friends rather than housemates. Although also having your own space is good too.
I work from an office in St Paul’s, and will be there most of the time during 8 to 5, but very occasionally work from home, but like the odd day every few months. I will sometimes work away as well.

I have an electric bike so ideally would have somewhere to keep that secure (although could keep that at work and take my old bike, less nickable bike instead).
