Expats connecting with lowlands roots

Hi!

I'm Mara and I'm looking to spend 1 month to 6 weeks in the broader Glasgow-Edinburgh area starting 7th September with my partner, Izzy, and cat, Épée.

We are looking for a place that is pet-friendly, comfortable to spend time in, and near to public transit options to explore the area. Ideally, this would be a place to ourselves but we are considering options with housemates as well.

We're a peaceful, friendly pair looking forward to exploring the city and some of my family roots in the lowlands and surrounding region. Generally, we prefer long walks and chatting in the garden over late nights out partying. A typically quiet space is a must. If living with housemates, we would love to spend some time connecting and sharing a meal.

Professionally, I am an aerospace software engineer currently on sabbatical while Izzy runs her own therapy practice. Izzy will be taking client calls from the bedroom for no more than 8 hours per week during this time.

We are also open to options outside of the city / far from transit options for a lower price point and space to park a rental car.
