New city, new chapter, new home

I’m Max, 23, originally from Germany, and I’ll be moving to London in May to start working at a startup - so a new city, new chapter, and hopefully a great new home.

I just finished my Master’s in International Business at Maastricht University, and over the past few years I’ve collected a bit of an international life: living in the Netherlands, in Milan, and now moving to London. Safe to say I’ve become quite used to shared flats and really enjoy them - I’ve lived in three so far (Germany, Maastricht, Milan). I’m someone who likes things tidy and organized, but more importantly I love creating a relaxed, friendly atmosphere at home. A happy home is a tidy home, right?

Outside of work you’ll usually find me doing some kind of sport or staying active. I also love cooking and I’ve been told my „Kaiserschmarrn“ is legendary (happy to prove that if I move in).

Another big passion of mine is traveling. I recently spent time in Brazil and Nicaragua, which came with plenty of good stories, and I’m always excited to hear about other people’s adventures too. My next trip is Thailand in April before I move to London.

Overall I’d say I’m easygoing, organized, and enjoy a good balance of social time and personal space - the kind of flatmate who’s happy to share a meal, a chat in the kitchen, or the occasional drink, but also respects everyone’s routines.
