No Longer Looking, Found Something

Oh great, here we go, time to write one of these again... (!)

I'm the eldest of 6, and...am trying really hard not to talk about occupation as the go-to, knee-jerk reaction...
I'm grateful for lots of things in life. I recently spent 5 months in New Zealand, for a friend's wedding (love weddings). Also worked out there, in some stunning scenery. Love the outdoors and outdoor work, enjoy long walks, runs. I like musical things (but not musicals), enjoy singing, playing guitar and I've recently started the ukulelele. So far am average at best. I enjoy creative writing. I love to bits not being plugged into technology, not a big TV-watcher (teeny-tiny in fact), and I avoid social media like the plague. Oh, and I'm half-French (no relation to the plague though...)

As for activity that pay the bills and what-not, I am looking at doing a lorry driver training course (reason for moving to Manchester). In the past I've been a TA and teacher in Landan, taught Maths, but, as an introvert, can't be doing that me whole life. I have also done some plastering training, but realised that's not great for moving abroad, which is what I'm hoping to do. Hence lorry driving.

The course is about 4 months from the start date (one starts every 2 weeks if I understand correctly...). After which, probably after 1-3 months working, I am looking to go abroad again, to Australia this time. So am not able to rent for a full 12 months. Would be open to the possibility of taking on a 12-month contract if housemates are happy for someone else to fill my boots when I disappear. Ideally not, but if it must be, so be it.

Have put £500 as my max month rent, at an absolute push. If there was a room on the doorstep of the lorry training place (M24 1RU), could see myself paying £500. Would be a lot more comfortable with something in the £400-£450 range.

Some years I drink, some years I don't. 2026 is one of the 'don't's.

Random, but I'll mention it, why not? Am interested in learning Mandarin and/or Indonesian...

With my preference for not sharing personal stuff online if I can absolutely avoid it, have chosen not to include a picture of meself. (I should've been born in the 1890s...) Hope that doesn't bother you. If I do say so myself, I look better in real life anyway.
