PhD Student Seeking Single or Double Room!

Hi! I'm Cassie. I'm a 26 year old (F) from the United States who will be moving to London in September to begin my PhD in neuroscience at UCL. I'm looking for a single or double room in a flat with a budget around £1,150 pcm (give or take a few).

I currently live in the U. S. where I'm finishing up my research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Outside of research, I love thrifting, watching movies, exploring new restaurants/cafes/pubs, traveling, playing tennis, being outside, and baking! I have a 6 year old cat named Farrah whom I adore, and she is a complete love bug and is extremely chill, clean, social, and quiet. She doesn’t climb on counters or scratch furniture, and I’ve rented with her for 4+ years with no problems.

Roommate-wise, I'm clean, respectful, and communicative, and I like to keep the common spaces tidy. I don’t smoke, and I would prefer to live with people who don’t smoke in the house. I’m very easygoing and community-driven, so I love helping out my flatmates whenever possible (best believe there will always be baked treats available). I’m very extroverted and social, and I’m equally happy to have a cozy night in or cheeky drinks out. I do prefer a calm and quiet environment at home (i. e., not a party house), but I love to host little wine nights or dinners :)
Ultimately, I would like to cultivate a relaxed and comfortable living situation, where we feel welcome to hang out, chat, or cook dinner together, but also have our alone time if necessary.
