I’m Alex, 35, and I’m looking to move up ...

I’m Alex, 35, and I’m looking to move up to Manchester from London. I’m a data engineer working mostly remotely (so it would be great if I could WFH 2x a week but I’m looking to get a co-working desk in town in order to grown my network up here), and I’ve got family in Manchester, so I’m excited about getting to know the city properly and building a life here.

I’m pretty sociable and love getting involved in things. I help organise tech community events, volunteer with St John’s Ambulance, enjoy going to the gym (actually maybe enjoy isn’t the right word…), and have quite a few hobbies (including knitting!). I love a good dinner, games night, going out and attending a craft night, but I’m equally happy having a quiet evening at home. I don’t drink but I don’t have a problem with living with people who enjoy a drink themselves.

I’m looking for somewhere that feels like a proper home, where everyone gets along and enjoys spending time together, but also has their own space. I personally really appreciate a tidy, cosy, relaxed home
