UCL master’s student looking for a flatshare

Hi I’m Daniel! I’ve just finished my chemistry degree at the University of Bristol and I’m starting my Master’s in Drug Discovery at UCL this September.

I’m looking for a single or double room, ideally around Euston/Camden, but I am flexible for the right place and people. I am also open to buddying up with someone to find a place together. Budget up to £1500 pcm.

I’ve lived in mixed student houses throughout uni, so I know how important it is to share spaces respectfully and communicate well. Ideally I’d love to live with people around a similar age, students or young professionals both great. I would like to share with males or females.

About me:

I am very work-hard-play-hard. I’m big into electronic music, especially techno and drum and bass, so you might catch me out at a rave one weekend and up at 3am grinding through coursework the next. I do keep the big nights to the clubs though — at home I’m pretty laid back and more likely to be getting on with uni work, cooking, or at the gym rather than throwing afters. That said, I’m definitely up for the occasional gathering or dinner with housemates and their mates. I would say I’m more of a listener than the loudest voice in the room, so I’m at my best in one-to-one chats or a small group, but I’ll happily be there for the bigger nights too. I love meeting new people and it’s always a bonus if you happen to share similar interests. It would be nice as well to live with people where we can be more than just housemates (becoming friends, grabbing a pint, getting food, that kind of thing).

What I bring to the table:
I am clean and tidy in shared spaces (lab training does that to you), reliable with rent and bills, and easy to approach. If something’s bothering you, I’d rather have a quick chat than let it fester.
I cook properly rather than relying on takeaway, so expect the occasional round of homemade Chinese food. And after three years of student houses, I know the unglamorous stuff matters: taking the bins out, replacing the toilet roll, not letting dishes pile up.

I’m British but grew up mostly in Shanghai, so I’m comfortable around all kinds of cultures and people.
