Looking for a place to stay for 5 months in London

Hi, I'm Natalia, a 41-year-old PhD candidate from Brazil. I'll be living in London from July to mid-December 2026 for a research internship at Loughborough University London.

I'm looking for a furnished room, preferably in a flat or house with up to three bedrooms. Ideally, I'd like to be within walking distance of the university, but somewhere close to the Mildmay line would also work well.

I'll be in London from July 4th to start visiting places and move in preferably by the end of the month.

Before starting my PhD, I worked for around 15 years as a journalist. My current research focuses on diversity in media.

I'm a non-smoker, organized, clean, and respectful, and I value a calm and considerate home environment. I'm looking for a place that is calm but still friendly and sociable.

I can be a bit shy at first, but I'm friendly and easy to live with once I get to know people. These days I enjoy a balance between a quieter routine — concerts, films, museums, parks, cooking — and more social activities, such as going out for dinner or drinks with friends. I enjoy cooking and sharing a good homemade meal from time to time. I also love music -- I was learning to play the trombone back in Brazil -- and cultural activities in general.

I can also provide proof of income/funding documentation from the agency sponsoring my research stay.
