Easygoing & kind professional seeking london home

Hi! I’m Lena, 33, originally from Austria and currently living in Zurich, Switzerland. I recently finished my PhD at ETH Zurich and am moving to London to start a new job as a research scientist/postdoc.

I’m looking for a friendly, calm, and respectful flatshare ideally for the long term. I’ve lived in shared flats for the past 10 years, so I’m very used to being considerate, tidy, and mindful of shared spaces. I love a quiet and relaxed home, but I’m also very happy to occasionally cook together, have a beer or have a kitchen chat that accidentally turns into a two-hour conversation :D

Outside of work, I enjoy all kinds of food, reading and going for runs (only if there are pastries and an iced coffee waiting at the end). I’m really looking forward to exploring London and making the most of everything it has to offer: from museums and theatre to markets, concerts, cafés and discovering new favourite places. I also love animals and used to volunteer and foster cats for a rescue organization, so I would be very happy living with pets.

I speak German and English, some Italian, and I’m currently attempting to learn Spanish and Chinese (let's see how well that goes).
I’m queer-friendly, open-minded and would love to live in a kind and welcoming home. I’m ofc also happy to support the household with Swiss chocolate imports whenever I visit Zurich.

I’d be moving in alone. About once a month, I’ll be away for a long weekend visiting Zurich, and about once a month my partner would come from Zurich to stay with me for a weekend, so I’m looking for flatmates who are comfortable with that.
