Quiet, professional mature student — July start

Hi, I'm Yunying (37, female), a mature student doing an MSc in Psychology at Birkbeck, originally from Shanghai and aspiring to work in mental health. I'm looking for a room from around 15th July for at least six months. Open to long-term if it's a good fit for both sides.

Before moving to London, I spent 10+ years working in publishing and marketing in Shanghai. I'm responsible, tidy and value good communication, more bookworm than party host. In my spare time I enjoy reading, making pour-over coffee, bingeing psychological dramas, and exploring what the city has to offer (museums, theatres, leafy walks, etc). Happy to have a friendly chat over a cuppa something in the kitchen or bond over whatever we're watching, but equally respect a quiet house and personal space.

This arrangement could work especially well if you happen to be leaving for 5+ months and have remaining tenure on your lease, or if you'd prefer a lodger/flatmate you can get to know before committing long-term. I'm happy to discuss terms either way.

What I'm looking for: A furnished room with good natural light, in a household that feels a bit like home; ideally we would get along, but mutual respect and consideration above all. Good transport links matter more than a specific postcode, but I'm especially drawn to: Archway, Holloway, Highbury & Islington, Stoke Newington, Hackney, or Bow/Mile End.

Budget: up to ~£950/month (room + bills).
