PhD visiting researcher (26F) — room/studio

Hi! I'm Giorgia, a 26-year-old Italian PhD student joining Queen Margaret University as a Visiting Research Student from 1 August to 21 January, working with the MA Art Festivals and Cultural Management and Participatory Arts programmes.
I'm looking for either a studio flat or an ensuite room in a small co-living / shared flat (max 2 people), ideally with a working professional. My preferred areas are Portobello, Joppa, Leith, Newington, or anywhere with good connections to QMU (along the number 30 bus route or near a train station with services to Musselburgh).
A quick note on dates: my research stay ends on 21 January, but I'm very happy to pay rent for the full month of January so you'd have the room covered until 31 January — please consider this a 6-month let rather than a short one.
A bit about me: I'm a non-smoker, tidy, and very considerate of shared spaces. I enjoy cooking when I have time, hiking, cycling, going to museums and festivals (a happy overlap with my research!), and watching films. I speak English fluently, plus some French and Spanish. I'd describe myself as sociable but respectful of others' space — happy to share a meal or a chat, equally happy to leave you to your evening.
