Professional academic looking for housing

Hey there,
My name is Kealan (he/him), and I'll be moving from Brooklyn, NYC to London around early October (flexible, could be earlier or later) to begin work as a Research Associate in Earth Science at Imperial College. My contract is a minimum of three years, with the possibility for extension, so I will be in London for at least that amount of time.

With that said, putting down roots is my priority. I value building community and living cooperatively within the confines of my usual routine (I'm very routine-oriented). I'd enjoy living with folks who like to socialize and can support each other, but are also okay doing their own thing while respecting each others’ privacy. Participating in the collective care of the space I live in is something I'm accustomed to doing by folding consistent tidying into my routine; it would be great to live with people who also value a clean space.

I love to read, cook, exercise, play bass guitar in a band and chess with a friend. In general, creative pursuits and the regular consumption of art both play a role in sustaining me, and finding a household of folks that can relate on some level would be wonderful. A healthy dose of outdoor/park time, whenever possible, is also an important part of my lifestyle.

I'm not super picky about neighborhoods, so long as my commute to South Kensington - which I'll be making at least 4 days a week - is not more than an hour. I'm queer, so I'm looking for people who are chill with that.
