About Me
Hello! I’m Cindy — a long‑time special education teacher from Wisconsin, retiring this June after nearly three decades in the profession. I hold dual citizenship (my father was from Aberdeen), and I’m relocating to Edinburgh this summer. I’m also fully registered with the GTCS, which has been an important milestone as I prepare for this move.
I currently own my home in the U. S. and am leasing it out while I transition to Scotland. My plan is to arrive in early August and settle into a peaceful, well‑kept place while I begin the next chapter of my life. I’m especially excited to spend time in Scotland reconnecting with my family roots and getting to know the country more deeply.
Personality & Lifestyle
I’m quiet, considerate, and very respectful of shared spaces. I’m not a partier and I keep a calm routine. I love music and appreciate a home where people can enjoy their interests without chaos. I also enjoy going out for dinner, exploring new restaurants, and discovering neighbourhood spots with a warm, local feel.
I love traveling and sightseeing, and I’m looking forward to exploring Scotland — from coastal walks to historic sites to the Highlands. I’m friendly and sociable in a gentle way, but I also value privacy and a peaceful environment.
What I’m Looking For
A furnished room with privacy — ideally an en‑suite — in a clean, quiet home. I value a peaceful environment, good communication, and mutual respect. I’m open to short‑term lets as I get settled, especially in areas like Leith, Newhaven, Portobello, Granton, Easter Road, or anywhere with good public transport.
