ISO July East London Sublet :) clean/kind/fun

Helloo potential flatmate :) I'm Diyana (dee-anna), I live in Montreal and I've been in Europe since mid-May. I'm hoping to spend all of July in East London to get a better feel for the city. I was thrilled to experience how lively and international the city is, and I've always been fond of the UK's arts scene.

As a flatmate, I value respectful, caring, and open communication, creating a homey and friendly vibe even if we're only living together short term :) I'm very clean and respectful of people's homes. I take care to prevent things like pests, mold, and bad smells, and hope to live with people who do the same. It would be lovely to live in a flat that has some social element to it, but I'm also cool with doing my own thing.

I vibe with people who are kind, fun, driven, whimsical, self-assured, curious, creative, spiritual, patient, leftist, and sincere.

I moved to Mtl from Ontario 5 yrs ago, my family is Kurdish-Iraqi, and I travel often, so I speak English, French, Arabic, Kurdish & some Turkmen, Korean, and Spanish!

I'm blessed with a dream remote job as Copyright & AI Counsel at Creative Commons, working on preference signals for openly shared data. Creator advocacy work is close to my heart. Previously I was a policy analyst at Canadian Heritage, covering platform regulation and copyright policy (music/AI); and a freelance music/culture journalist (Noisey/Vice). These day, my writing is more casual (Substack), and I also shoot candids, travel, events, portraits on 35mm film.
