UoE PhD student looking for flats to call home

Hi everyone! 👋

I’m Ali (Alireza), a 27-year-old PhD student in engineering at the University of Edinburgh. I'm currently looking for a room in an existing flat share or some like minded people to buddy up and find a new place with.

A bit about me:

Day-to-day: I spend a good chunk of my week on campus or doing research, so I tend to keep things relatively quiet and focused during the workweek.

Hobbies & Interests: Outside of my PhD, I stay pretty active. I would like to go on hikes now and then, workout, and love playing and watching football (I support Barca:) ).

What I’m looking for:
I'm looking for 2 or 3 bedroom flats and I’m hoping to live with easygoing, clean, and respectful flatmates. While I have my own busy schedule, I’d love to live in a place that feels like a home rather than just a house where we can occasionally hang out or share a meal, but also respect each other's personal space.

The logistics:

Budget: Up to £800 per month

Move-in date: Looking to move around August 2026

Preferred areas: City center, near Meadows, Near King's Buildings campus.
