PhD Student Looking for chilling house/flatshare!

Hey all,

Currently looking for a double room to rent in or around Lothian Road/Tollcross, Marchmont, Morningside, or Bruntsfield for a start date of September (mid September if possible)/ beginning of October for the year or longer.

Budget would be ~£600-£950 bills included.

Bit about me:
I’m Portia, 32 from London and about to start a PhD at Heriot Watt come October 2026. I’m very friendly, clean and courteous, as well as being very chilled and respectful.

Love spending time as a house doing things together (cooking, board game and movie nights, and pub evenings), but also like having downtime to myself to read and unwind. I’ve lived in shared houses all over (NZ, Ireland, Falklands etc) and love meeting people from all over too.

My hobbies include reading, gaming, surfing and just generally being out and about and experiencing new things and places.
