Three wanting a buddy up to find new let
We're a friendly group of three (Zack, Nicola, and Yasmin) looking for a buddy up to complete a group (of 4) looking for a new place (fresh let preferred). We need to move latest 6 September 2026 but would be okay moving from late August.
A bit about us
Zack and Nicola are a couple, both 29, who've known each other since uni. Yasmin, 32, met Z&N on Spareroom, and we previously lived together between 2023-2024.
Zack is an economist at a think tank in Westminster — into baking bread, politics, running a board game group, climbing, writing and cycling.
Nicola is a government lawyer, also in Westminster — into collage making and crafts, long walks, charity shopping, the sun, the sauna, and swimming.
Yasmin works in architectural recruitment in Battersea — into local markets, exploring bookshops, tv, and is always up for grabbing a coffee or pints.
Between us we're a sociable, community-minded bunch — we like cooking (and taking turns to cook for each other when convenient), film and TV, video and board games, festivals and music, and the occasional weekend out. Chill evenings often mean a board game down the pub or table tennis in the park.
Who we would like to live with
We’re looking for someone who’s keen for a social house and who likes having people over, meeting our friends and introducing us to theirs. We’re looking for someone who's happy to sometimes do things communally — hanging out in the common spaces or cooking for each other (not all the time!), and keeping the place a clean, tidy and pleasant place to be in. Ideally aged 25+, working fairly conventional hours.
What house we are looking for
We're after a spacious 3-bedroom flat/house for the four of us (Z&N are a couple), between £3,000 and £4,000 a month (so £750-£1000 each), in either of two areas: the stretch between Herne Hill and Denmark Hill, or the stretch between Stockwell and Elephant & Castle. We'd like somewhere well connected to Victoria, since that's where we all work.
We’d want somewhere with a good-sized living room/ kitchen, and outside space/ being reasonably close to a park is a plus. The place does need to be unfurnished (or at least partially unfurnished), since between us we currently live in two unfurnished flats where we own all the furniture — but that also means you won’t need to bring much. Z&N’s current flatmate will be leaving behind their bedroom furniture so we can also help with that if you need.
We’re currently all well located to take on house search burden (Z&N are in the process of being section 21’d out of Islington, and Yas is in Shoreditch).
If that sounds like a good fit, drop us a short paragraph about yourself and we'll be in touch.
