Bonjour, future flatmates!
Your next favourite housemate is looking for a home in London.
WHO: French, 30
DOING: MSc International Development @ Westminster MOVING: August/September (from Mozambique, no big deal)
─────────────────────────
THE ORIGIN STORY
─────────────────────────
Currently wrapping up a humanitarian mission in Mozambique — because apparently London wasn't exciting enough as a first step. Five years working in development & humanitarian contexts across the world. Now going back into education because I want more skills, and also because Trump dismantled USAID and the job market had opinions. Fully ready to swap field missions for seminar rooms and Sunday markets!
I've lived in flatshares since age 18. Flatsharing is a lifestyle, not a compromise, for me it's about sharing a home, not just a postcode.

KITCHEN CREDENTIALS
─────────────────────────
I will cook with you. Will share recipes. Currently perfecting focaccia and roasted potatoes. Your kitchen is potentially about to level up
Although sorry HARD LINE for me: Baked beans. Absolute non-negotiable. This is my one British culture shock. I apologise in advance.

A TYPICAL WEEKEND
─────────────────────────
Long urban walks, museums, pub with friends, spontaneous hike, arts & crafts, tea + book + couch, living room film night (popcorn mandatory)
Note on cycling: cannot cycle. At all. I've accepted this. Hiking? Always yes. Bike? Hard pass.

THE FLATMATE PLEDGE
─────────────────────────
✔ Tidy
✔ Respects privacy, active social life balanced with genuine appreciation for quiet time. Not a 20-year-old, not a 2am pasta situation. Regular adult rhythm.
✔ Somewhat of a French accent but reliably informed it's endearing. Will understand you perfectly after a few pints, don't worry.
✔ Zero film knowledge, but film enthusiasm. Will watch anything. Will always bring popcorn.
✔ Free French lessons if you want them. The offer stands.
Into: politics, feminism, all things ocean, diving, hiking, arts & crafts, good books (recommendations very welcome)
Looking for a flatshare that feels like a home with good people, a proper kitchen, and ideally within reach of a museum or two.
