PhD Researcher Seeks Nice Flat/mates in MCR:)

Hi there!

My name‘s Jacob (29) and I'm looking for a new home! Starting from September 2026, I'll be moving to the city to begin my PhD studies at the University of Manchester :)

A bit about me: I'm originally from the US but have lived internationally for over 10 years now. I'll be moving from Berlin where I've lived for the last years; beforehand I was in Vienna and Abu Dhabi, all with various flatshares over that time.

With a background in public policy, I work broadly in community health initiatives, from STI/counseling clinics, to various projects on nightlife safety. I also speak German, like to read and draw, play backgammon, DJ and play instruments, and stay pretty active biking and dancing through the city. My doctoral research is about promoting safety in club contexts. :)

For your flat: I'm a tidy person, also a social bird who loves to share, but also appreciate alone time/get if others prefer space. All genders, orientations, national backgrounds, etc. identities welcome! Given that I'll be starting PhD, it's important that home can also be a space for calm, restorative, and creative time!
