Happy Guy looks for a Happy House

Hey I’m Tom 👋

I’ve been living in Newquay for the last 6 months and somewhere along the way it’s properly become home.

I’m 37, originally from Brighton, and unfortunately my current housemate, who I’ve lived with since January, has decided to move in with her partner, so I’m now on the lookout for another equally lovely human to share a home with ☺️

Since moving here my life’s changed quite a lot. I used to run an illustration agency, but after moving near the sea things shifted in a much calmer and more meaningful direction. These days I work in a lovely café/restaurant overlooking the beach (yes, there are occasional discounted drinks and food perks 😉), while also recording my first podcast and building a few creative community projects centred around nature and creativity.

I spend a lot of time outdoors. I recently did a coastal marathon, swim in the sea a couple of times a week, cycle loads, snorkel, and generally try to make the most of living somewhere this beautiful. I’m also a former chef, so cooking is very much my love language. Always happy to share food, cook together, or accidentally make too much for a roast.

I’m very tidy, respectful of shared space, and genuinely enjoy living with others. Whether that’s sharing a cuppa and a biscuit after work, cooking together, or simply doing our own thing while still making a house feel like a home.

Newquay already feels very special to me and I’m excited for the next chapter here. So if you and your place place feels like it might be a good fit, I’d genuinely love to hear from you.
