Outdoorsy queer, keen cook seek calm friendly home

Hi, I'm Katie (she/her), currently living in Warwickshire and looking to relocate to Bristol around October.

I'm a Programme Manager and former teacher, and I'm moving following a recent divorce. It's a chance for a fresh start and an opportunity to build a new community in a city I've always enjoyed spending time in. I already have a couple of friends in the area, so Bristol feels like the right place to put down roots for the next chapter.

I work from home most of the time. In my spare time, I'm happiest when I'm outdoors. I love hiking, camping, cycling, travelling and generally seeking out new adventures. Last summer I cycled solo from the Hook of Holland to Switzerland to follow the Women's Euros. While I enjoy big adventures, I'm generally more of a slower-paced cyclist who enjoys taking in the scenery, stopping for coffee, and meeting interesting people along the way.

I also enjoy pilates, football and badminton, generally staying active. Music, gigs, festivals, the arts, and travel are all important parts of my life - always curious to share and enjoy these experiences with others too.

In my home setting, I value having a calm, clean, and tidy space to come back to. I'm respectful, considerate, and take pride in looking after shared spaces. I love cooking and often enjoy having friends round for dinner, trying new recipes, or sharing food with housemates. I enjoy socialising, in a healthy, low-key, wholesome way — shared meals, walks, good conversation, live music and a pub stop!

I also enjoy gardening and would happily help look after any outdoor space.

Ideally, I'm looking for a friendly, welcoming home where people enjoy the occasional chat, meal, or activity together, while also respecting each other's independence and downtime. More than just a room, I'm hoping to find somewhere that feels like home as I settle into Bristol and start building a new community.
