American postgrad looking for a room!

Hi, all!

My name is Cecilia, I'm moving to London in September, and I'm looking for a place to live!

A little about me:
I was born and raised outside of Boston, Massachusetts. I'm a devoted big sister, a proud daughter of immigrants, and an avid reader. I'll be getting my masters in library science at UCL, with the dream of being a public librarian. I've lived in London before for about six months, so I'm very excited to have a longer stay this time. Outside of school and work, I love to read, write, watch tv shows, cook (and eat!), travel, go for walks and do yoga, and play cozy video games.

What I'm looking for in the room:
- I'm looking for a room for at least a year, September 2026-September 2027.
- I would love a place that is less than ten minutes walking distance to a tube stop, preferably the Northern, Victoria, Piccadilly, or Hammersmith & City lines. Otherwise, any place that will have easy connections to get to UCL.
- The room needs to be furnished as I will be coming from the U. S.

What I'm looking for in a flatmate:
- My dream is to have flatmates that feel like friends. If you're looking for someone to hang out with and a new friend, I'm your girl. I don't want us to just be ships passing in the night, looking for a genuine friendship and connection!
- Looking for preferably female/female-identifying flatmates. Queer and POC identities are added bonuses. If there is a man in a mixed flat that is fine, just would prefer not to be alone with only men.
- Someone who doesn't mind company over (with reasonable expectations for the house, of course!)
- An overall tidy person in shared areas, especially in the kitchen

Who I am as a flatmate:
- Social, kind, and caring. I love to have an end of day debrief, but I also value solo unwinding time.
- Very clean and tidy. I value neatness in the home, especially in the kitchen. I have. thing with germs, so I appreciate a space that is kept clean.
- I'll be studying full-time and working part-time, so I imagine I'll be out of the house a lot.
