Central line is the best line. Change my mind

Hey there,

I’m Zek. I moved over to London from Germany about six months ago and I’m on the hunt for a long-term spot to call home. Ideally looking to find a room in an existing house share.

I’m 34, working as a product manager for an outdoor gear company. Ionically, my own relationship with the wild mostly involves camping once a year at a festival, but I do come with heavy employee discounts if you’re into outdoor gear. When we meet, you’re probably going to think I sound American even though I’ve never actually lived there. It’s a very long short story I can tell you over a drink. I also travel quite a bit for work, so I'll be out of your hair for a few days almost every month.

When I’m in town, my free time is mostly split between trying not to fall backward on roller skates and making cups in pottery class. To be honest, they rarely turn out looking like actual cups. They're mostly just abstract sculptures at this point, so I leave them at the studio. No communal shelf space will be harmed in the making of this tenancy.

I definitely value my own quiet time and fully respect everyone's need for space and privacy, but I’m always down to catch up over a pint or tea in the evening. I'm well past the house-party era of my life, but I love a warm, easygoing dynamic where we aren't total strangers passing in the hallway. If we end up living together, we can debate whether the Central line actually is the best tube line

Logistics-wise, I’m ready to go. I have all my supporting paperwork sorted (payslips, right to rent, employment contract) and can move in whenever the right place opens up.
