Private Room wanted -Visiting female Professional

Visiting Edinburgh seeking roots/academic research. My grandfather and granduncle came to study in 1909, in Glasgow and Edinbourg, im tracing their footsteps, so to be in Old Town would be ideal? Any help and guidance would be appreciated.

Dates could be flexible, looking for a fully furnished room ideally from 26 July- end of Aug or a bit longer. Flexible departure date (approximately 1 -1.5 month)
Preferred areas: EH1, EH8, EH2, EH3
Non-smoking, introspective, quiet, tidy, and respectful
Happy to view the room in person on july 9th. I'm actually flexible in dates: move-in or out.

I have no knowledge of the city's physicality, so please explain how far, what goes into the travel to reach the book festival or university. It takes more than 30 by bus its probably too far away. prefer in the mix, within walking distance.
