Visiting Scholar Seeking Room with Live-in British

I am a visiting academic at Loughborough University with a 12-month research placement starting September 2026, funded by China Scholarship Council. I will live quietly with my 7-year-old daughter, and we are looking for a spare room in a British family home with a live-in landlord.
My top priority is to immerse myself in a full English daily environment, so I hope to share the house with native UK residents. We are tidy, responsible and respectful of household routines, and my child is gentle and well-behaved.
I hope the property is within 1 mile of Holywell Primary School (LE11 3S postcodes preferred), within walking distance of Loughborough University campus. A family-friendly home with access to a private garden would be ideal. We do not smoke, have no pets, and can provide university official letters, proof of funding and references upon request.
