New PhD craves flatmates/roof

Hello! I'm Jo-Jo... I'm starting a funded PhD at Cambridge University (Lucy Cav) in October.

I'm hoping to rent somewhere fairly quiet, as I'm a bit insomniatic, between the Sainsbury Lab, Plant Sciences dept, and Lucy, although happy to rent nearby any of these rather than between.

Ideal people to live with would be (postgrad?) student(s)... Although personality matters most! Someone fairly quiet at night would be grand, as I'm prone to insomnia, but during the day/evening I do LOVE a good yap, so daytime/evening music/chatter doesn't bother me. Just nice if people don't slam doors after 10. Very open to late and spontaneous social stuff into the early hours, just not every day/not if I have something important in the morning.

Besides that... A good sense of humour (if possible). Without sounding too insufferable, I love Peep show and Stewart Lee, and I enjoy repeating stuff loads and making bits, e. g. dropping something and then struggling to pick it up for 3 mins and rolling it around on the floor. Or convincing people that Bungus means the squeezy bit in a squid, and gaslighting them for a few months. Compliance with the bits isn't a dealbreaker, and I won't impose my bits on you if you don't want them. I also like the occasional jam session- I play guitar, keys, drums- so if you're up for that, fab.

Background- Born and (in)bred in Somerset... Middle of nowhere field... Went to a bogstandard school. Did some farming. Gap. Went to Bristol university... Roped into plant sciences... Finished BSc... Now at Cambridge.

Would happily rent for much cheaper than 850 btw...

Doesn't like smoking in/right outside the house... If you walk slightly away from the house though, that's all good. Fine with recreation, not a ginormous fan myself.
