PhD Student looking for a room

Hi! I’m moving to Edinburgh in September to start a PhD in environmental monitoring, in the school of GeoSciences. I am planning to move into a 1 bed flat in November/December, so need a short term let until then. I want to get to know the city and different areas before committing to somewhere long term. I’ll be based at the Kings Buildings so am open to anywhere within walking/cycling distance of them!

A bit about me: I love the outdoors, and pretty much any activity that involves getting outside - running, hiking, paddle boarding, swimming etc. I’m also learning to knit and love making things, and I’m currently making a sleeping system for my car so I can go for weekends away in the highlands.

I’ll be out most weekdays at uni, and working a bit on top of my PhD. I’d also like to join a running and/or triathlon club so will hopefully be out at training sessions during some evenings/weekends.

I enjoy spending time both on my own and with other people, so would love flatmates who are happy to do a bit of both. It would be fun to have the occasional dinner/coffee together and hang out some evenings if you’re up for it!

My boyfriend lives and works in London, so once a month I’ll go there for a weekend, and vice versa.
