Looking for a room in (or near) Tooting 🏡

Hi everyone! I'm Andrew, a 33-year-old doctor looking for a room in a friendly shared house in Tooting (or nearby) as I start a new surgical training programme.

I'm originally from Scotland but have been living down south for the past six years. I've been based in East Ldn, but I'm moving southwest to be closer to work. I work in hospital, so I'm generally out during the day, with the occasional weekend shift.

Outside of work I like to stay active. Most evenings I'm out running, playing tennis or at the gym, while weekends are usually spent on a longer run or bike ride, catching up with friends in the pub, or trying a new hobby (I've recently become slightly obsessed with beach tennis!).

I'm also a passionate cook and love making proper meals rather than relying on takeaways. Italian food is my comfort zone, but I also enjoy cooking Korean and Thai dishes, and I'm always happy to share dinner if people are around.

I'd describe myself as sociable, easy-going and considerate. I enjoy living with people who are up for chatting about their day over dinner, watching the odd film, heading to the pub for a quiz, or doing something together now and then. Equally, I appreciate everyone having their own lives and downtime, so I'm very respectful of personal space and quiet evenings when needed. I'm also very clean and tidy and have always enjoyed living in shared houses.

I'm ideally looking for a house that feels like a home rather than just a place to sleep. Somewhere spacious with plenty of natural light, within easy reach of green spaces for running, and with good transport links would be perfect. Most importantly, I'd love to find a house with a warm, relaxed atmosphere where everyone gets on well and enjoys each other's company without there being any pressure to socialise all the time.
