Counsellor seeking peaceful SE London home

Hi, I’m Pedro. I’m a professional counsellor in my mid-forties, originally from Barcelona and living in London for over ten years.

Following the end of a long-term relationship, I’m looking for a welcoming and peaceful place to make my next home. I would ideally like a good-sized en-suite room, or a room with access to a private bathroom, in a two- or three-person household.

I work mainly from counselling rooms in London Bridge, with some work in Greenwich, so I’m particularly interested in Charlton, Westcombe Park, Woolwich, Greenwich, Lewisham, Blackheath, Deptford and the surrounding areas. I would also consider Plumstead or Abbey Wood for the right home.

I’m friendly, considerate and easy to live with. I enjoy conversation and sharing the occasional meal or glass of wine, but I also value privacy and time to recharge—especially after a day of client work. I’m clean and responsible, and I’m looking for a home where everyone contributes to keeping shared spaces pleasant without the atmosphere feeling overly rigid.

Outside work, I enjoy writing, art and museums, going to the gym, exploring London and spending time with friends. I’m gay, so an LGBTQ+ friendly and inclusive home is important to me.

My preference would be to live with one other person, although I would consider sharing with two people if the household feels calm and compatible. I’m not looking for a large HMO or a property that feels like a collection of separate rented rooms; having a comfortable shared living space and feeling genuinely at home matter to me.

My ideal budget is around £900–£1,000 per month including bills, although I could consider up to approximately £1,100 for an especially suitable en-suite room and household.

I’m hoping to move around September 2026 and am looking for somewhere I could settle for a meaningful period rather than a very short-term arrangement.
