Looking for a place to call home (£450 maximum)

Hi! I'm Jake,

a 31-year-old originally from Manchester, currently making the move from Berlin to Dundee. After a few years living abroad, I'm looking forward to putting down roots in Scotland, finding a hospitality role, and getting to know the city.

I'm arriving on 15th August 2026 and looking for a room for at least six months, budget £450 maximum, while I settle into work in Dundee or the surrounding area (somewhere easily reached by public transport).

A little about me: I'm easy-going, considerate, tidy, and genuinely enjoy living with people. Home is somewhere I like to recharge, so mutual respect, privacy, and giving each other space are really important to me. At the same time, I'd love to live with someone who doesn't mind the occasional quiet pint at the pub, a coffee before one of us starts a shift, or a chat in the kitchen without it feeling forced.

I don't think house sharing has to feel awkward or lonely. The best homes I've lived in are the ones where you naturally feel at ease around each other, where you can share a laugh, celebrate the small wins, and still happily disappear into your own world when you need to.

I'm a non-smoker, clean up after myself, and believe everyone should contribute to making a house feel calm, welcoming, and looked after. My background is in customer experience, design, and hospitality, so I'm naturally a people person who enjoys meeting others from different walks of life.
