Friendly PhD student looking for a warm community
Hello! I’m Lina María, a Colombian archaeologist who has been working as a museum curator in Colombia for the past eleven years. At the end of September, I’ll be starting a new chapter in my life as a PhD student in Archaeology at the University of Cambridge.
I’ll be leaving behind my home city, my flat, my friends, and my place in the world for this new three-year adventure. There are only two beings I couldn't leave behind: my cats, Minueto and Londres. Minueto is an Enlightenment philosopher who was rescued from a roof, and Londres is a nod to the nostalgia of living in that wonderful city 12 years ago.
So, we are three Latin Americans looking for someone who’d love to share a lovely home with us. I’m happy to pay a bit extra so we can live as a proper household, and hopefully connect with people who believe in community and looking out for one another.
It's important to mention that I have received a full scholarship from my employer in Colombia, which will allow me to live without financial worries.
I’m warm-hearted, cheerful, and responsible. I’m 35 years old and I know how to look after a place, as I own my own flat back in Colombia. I dream of a cosy little spot with a garden where you, Londres, Minueto, and I can enjoy some fresh air together.
