Easy-going professional looking for a room in Leed

Hi, I'm Kaif, 23, relocating to Leeds for a new job and looking for a room in a friendly, relaxed house share.

A bit about me: I'm a working professional, tidy, and easy to live with. I keep to myself when people want their space, but I'm always up for a chat, a shared meal, or a games night. My interests run to chess, video games and sports/outdoor activities, and I follow science and current affairs, so I'm happy talking about pretty much anything.

I should warn you: I am a pretty good cook (because I'm a foodie but Deliveroo breaks the bank), so expect the kitchen to smell great, and if you're around, there's usually enough to share.

What I'm after: an en-suite room in a shared apartment, a studio, or a one-bed, ideally within about 45 minutes of The Headrow (LS1) by bus. My ideal budget is £650 to £1,000 a month, bills included where possible, but if bills are separate I'm working to a total (rent plus bills) under £1,000. I'll happily go a bit higher for a really good space with proper extras like a gym or cleaning. I'm looking to move in before the end of August, and ideally want a proper tenancy with the deposit protected in a government scheme. People being considerate of each other matters more to me than age or occupation, as long as everyone's decent and communicative. I don't smoke and I don't have pets, though I don't mind housemates who do.

Only pet peeve: messy shared spaces. After 4 years of dealing with dirty kitchens, I'm hoping to catch a break this year.
