I'm Sam. I recently started managing the family business just outside Guildford. I'm currently staying with family near Gatwick, and the Dorking traffic can be ✨horrendous✨, so I'm hoping to find somewhere to live west of the town.

I was born in Surrey, then moved to the south coast of Dorset at the age of seven, before moving back to Surrey at 19 to work at the family business. At 22, I moved to the South Wales Valleys to read law.

I've lived with my bestie for seven years and we co-existed perfectly, so in an idyllic world, I'd love to share a home with just one other person. However, that's certainly not a be-all and end-all.

I'm respectful of people's space and pretty laid-back, with a tendency to occasionally overshare. I've been described as ‘too honest’, which I choose to interpret as ‘unlikely to leave you guessing’.

I'm partial to a Guinness, wine or cocktail, but not as much as I used to be! I think I've been over the clubbing life for a while--I can't hear what anyone is saying at the best of times, so I'd most likely be found chatting in the smoking area. That being said, I don't smoke anymore, although I haven't tried to kick vaping yet.

I enjoy cooking but I'm not great following recipes or instructions (so rule me out for baking and DIY!). Put me in front of a hob with a bunch of ingredients and I'm sure to whip up something delish and spicy.

I'm also hoping to find somewhere that feels like a home rather than just somewhere to sleep. A garden or balcony would be an absolute dream--somewhere to sit with a drink on warm evenings, ideally with good company and nowhere to be.

I'm clean and considerate without being precious about things, and I'm very much a live and let live kind of person. I'm looking for somewhere relaxed, friendly and comfortable, with a housemate(s) who is happy to have a chat in the kitchen but equally understand the importance of disappearing into my bedroom for an entire evening.
