Fully Funded PhD Researcher Seeking Long-Term Rent

Hi, I’m a fully funded PhD researcher moving to Belfast this September. I’m looking for a self-contained studio or one-bedroom apartment in Belfast or the surrounding area. I’m only interested in renting an entire property for myself, not a room in a shared house or shared accommodation.

I’m looking for a long-term home. I would stay for at least one year, and if everything goes well, ideally for the full three years of my PhD.

I will be living alone. I’m a non-smoker, have no pets, and have a quiet lifestyle. I’m clean, responsible and respectful of the property. I currently live independently in Paris and have several years of experience managing my own accommodation and renting.

My PhD is fully funded, so I have a stable regular income throughout my studies. I can provide proof of funding and other supporting documents if required. As I have not previously lived in the UK, I do not currently have a UK rental reference.

I can move in from around mid-September 2026, and I’m flexible about the exact date if I find the right property. I’m open to different property sizes, including one, two or three-bedroom properties, and my budget is reasonably flexible depending on the size, location and condition of the property.
