Professional looking for a double room

Hey!

I’m Andrea, an Italian working in Tech/Product as a Senior Manager, and I’m moving to London for work in October. I’m looking for a double room in a nice flat in Zones 1–2, ideally within around 30–35 minutes of Cannon Street.

I’m originally from Sardinia, but moved to Milan when I was 19 to study and later work, with a short stint in the Netherlands along the way. I’ve been sharing flats for almost 10 years, so I’m very used to living with other people and being respectful of shared spaces.

I’m looking for somewhere that genuinely feels like home rather than just a room to sleep in: clean, tidy, well maintained and ideally modern or nicely renovated. My ideal setup would be a 2- or 3-bed flat shared with other young professionals, ideally without too many people sharing the same bathroom.

I’m quite career-focused and usually work from the office, with WFH normally no more than once a week. Outside work, I enjoy going out for drinks or dinner, staying active, exploring new parts of the city, or sometimes just relaxing in front of the TV. At the same time, I see home as somewhere to relax and recharge rather than a party house.

I already have some friends in London, but as I’ll be new to the city I’m definitely keen to meet new people too. I’d love to live with flatmates who are up for a chat, an occasional drink or dinner together, or having a few friends over from time to time, while still being comfortable doing our own thing. I’m sociable, but I also appreciate having my own space and some quiet time.

Cleanliness is quite important to me (my job involves enough chaos already 😅), so I really appreciate a tidy home. That said, I know life can get in the way sometimes, so I’d be very happy to contribute towards a weekly or fortnightly cleaner if that makes things easier for everyone.

I’m fairly flexible on the exact area as long as it feels safe, has some life around it and offers a reasonable commute to Cannon Street.

Looking to move anytime from 1 October, ideally by the end of the month.
