Room wanted – Cambridge – flexible/part-time lodge

Hi! I'm Marine, 24, and a final-year medical student looking for a room in Cambridge from around mid-September until June/July.

I'm in my final year of medicine, which means I'll be away from Cambridge quite a lot for hospital placements. I'm therefore looking for more of a home base than a conventional full-time room — somewhere to keep my belongings and come back to at weekends, the occasional weeknight, and during study weeks and exam periods.

I'm particularly interested in a flexible lodger/homestay arrangement with someone who has a spare room and would be happy with a quieter/part-time occupant. I'm very open to a room in someone's home, a smaller room, or a friendly house share.

Because I'll be away so much, I'm hoping to find something reasonably priced / with some flexibility on rent to reflect how little I'll actually be there. I'm not looking for anything fancy — just somewhere that feels like a home base for the year.

I'm clean, considerate and independent, and used to living in shared accommodation. I'm happy to be sociable and chat over dinner or a cup of tea, but I'm also respectful of people's space and routines. As a medic, I'll naturally have quite a busy schedule, so I'm generally pretty quiet and low-maintenance!
