Looking for another woman to rent a flat with

Hi everyone!

I’m Lara, 26, and I’m looking for another woman to share a home with. I’m fairly flexible on when I move, although the sooner the better, so I’m open to finding the right place and person rather than working to a strict deadline. Rent wise I am looking for £800-£1,000 not including bills.

A little about me; I’m friendly, considerate and very house proud. I’d ideally love to live with someone who could become a friend as well as a flatmate. I think sharing a home is so much nicer when you genuinely get along, have a few things in common and can enjoy the occasional kitchen chat, film night or spontaneous coffee trip together. Caffeine is very much my love language.

I’m definitely a homebody at heart and really value having a peaceful, cosy home to retreat to after a busy day. I enjoy having my own downtime, and there will probably be plenty of evenings where you’ll find me in my pyjamas, happily dying in my room or curled up on the sofa with a film or series! At the same time, I do spend a fair amount of time out of the house through my uni schedule, hobbies, and visiting friends and family, so you’ll definitely have plenty of time and space to yourself too.

I’m also a big believer that a home should feel like a sanctuary. I’m very tidy, clean and domesticated, and I’m not really a partying or bringing lots of people home kind of person. I’d love to find someone who also enjoys a calm, respectful and relaxed living environment. I’m very happy for us to have our own lives and routines, but I’d ideally prefer a flatmate who doesn’t have their partner staying over most of the time.

In my spare time, I love sewing (although my sewing machine has currently decided to abandon me), reading, baking, and binge-watching series or horror films. I’m also a huge fan of autumn, and fair warning, I absolutely LOVE decorating for Halloween and Christmas and making the flat feel cosy throughout the year. So if you enjoy fairy lights, seasonal decorations, candles and generally making a place feel like home, we’ll probably get along very well!

I’m also a keen baker, so there is a very good chance that living with me will involve being offered an unreasonable amount of homemade treats.
