Hi! I’m Mark, 26, and I’m looking for a room in Hackney/East London as I’m starting a new full-time job in recruitment in Old Street on 14th September.

Before moving into recruitment, I’ve been working in legal administration alongside playing professional/semi-professional football, which I still do. Outside of work I’m mainly into football, films, fitness, food, exploring London and spending time with friends.

I’m clean, tidy and respectful and I’m a non-smoker. I’m easy-going and independent, but also sociable and always happy to chat, have dinner or hang out with housemates when everyone’s around. I really value having a comfortable home rather than just somewhere to sleep, although I’m definitely not looking for a party house!

What I’m looking for:
Ideally Hackney, Clapton, Homerton, Dalston or surrounding East London areas, although I’m also open to Walthamstow/Blackhorse Road and anywhere with a straightforward commute to Old Street.

My ideal budget is around £750 pcm, with a maximum of roughly £825 pcm including bills.

I’m looking to move as soon as possible, ideally around 7th September, and definitely hoping to be settled before I start work on the 14th. I’m happy with a longer-term arrangement for the right place.

Ideally I’d like a furnished room with a proper bed and decent storage. A desk would be useful but isn’t essential, and secure bike storage would be a big bonus as I’m hoping to cycle to work.
